The Islamic Center of Passaic County (ICPC) encourages every member of our community to fulfill the obligation of Zakat al-Fitr before Eid so that families in need can celebrate with dignity and ease.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prescribed Zakat al-Fitr as one saa’ of staple food. A saa’ is a traditional measure equal to what can be held in two hands together. In today’s terms, this is commonly estimated at approximately $15 per person, based on staple foods such as rice or flour.
Your Zakat al-Fitr helps provide essential food assistance to those in need and spreads joy on the day of Eid.
