Grandmaster Kenneth Lee has been a devoted practitioner of martial arts since 1969. He started his formal training in Shotokan Karate under the strict tutelage of Master Bob Canty; who during the America- Korean war, studied Judo and Shito Ryu Karate.

After receiving his Master’s degree in chemistry, he began to teach karate in New York City. He then moved to New Jersey and began working at a foundry in Florham Park, NJ. In his spare time in the evenings, he would teach karate 3-4 times a week, where Master Lee began studying with him.

Many years after diligent training, he chose Kenneth Lee to be his successor, to continue his legacy by teaching American Shotokan Karate-Do. He then sent him on a mission to study with his instructor, Holden Rene, to master the advanced levels of Shotokan Karate. Master Lee was also an exchange student of the United Martial Arts Federation, where he began his AkiJitsu training.

Master Lee has been competing since age 12, receiving first-place championships in every level from white belt to 8th-degree Black.

He holds the Guinness Book World Record for the most apples cut in the air with a samurai sword in a minute, currently at 28 apples. He’s appeared on such shows as Paul O Grate, Regis and Kelly, The Morning Show, 20/20, Oprah Winfrey, Channel 11 news, and Guinness World Records Show. Grandmaster Lee continues to travel, teach and promote black belt students in various disciplines.
